Holy family figurine

Hello Dear ones , from hot and humid Toronto!

A while back I got myself a figurine from white resin stone at a garage sale.  Its by a known sculptor Shmalz.  He's famous for sculpting religious figurines and icons.
One of my friends in Hamilton liked it but didnt like the white colour, so she asked me if I could redo it to make it look like metal. So I did it with the candle method. I dont think it turned out too bad, but it took a while to do with all the layering and smoking. It has to be done fast and it was quite heavy so I got sore hands. But you can decide that for yourselves. :)

I wish you all and each a most wonderful weekend!

Witam Was kochani z upalnego i parnego Toronto!

Jakis czas temu kupilam sobie na garage sale taka figurke z bialego kamienia zwanego resin.Autorstwa  rzezbiarza Shmalza.Autor ten slynie z rzezbienia takich swietych figur i religijnych postaci.
Efekty moich znmagan nad figurka ocencie sami :)

Zycze Wam wszystkim i kazdemu z osobna najcudowniejszego weekendu!

This is how it looked before the change - Tak wygladala figurka przed przerobka

Hello Katherine:
We are truly amazed! We have no idea how you managed to achieve this complete transformation, but the sculpture is now unrecognisable from its original state. We rather liked the figure as it was, but the detail of the form does seem to have been brought out rather better in its new guise. We hope thatyour friend was delighted with the result.

We have been reading with much concern about the brutal weather conditions in Toronto. We do so hope that you are managing to keep cool and do not have to venture out too much!

Na początku pomyślałam co za pomysł by biel przerabiać na srebro. Pewnie będzie babcine, a tu proszę jaka korzystna zmiana:)
