Lyre bird

Hello dear ones!

I found a superb film about a bird in Australia. He can copy the songs of about 20 other species, and other sounds that he hears around him. Why? because in his mating season, a song that will be more complex than others will attract the most females. He is so good at it that the original species answer him back! His name comes from the shape of his stunning tail! Heres a short clip for you to enjoy this awesome bird...

And I wish you a most wonderful weekend!

 Witajcie moi drodzy!

Aja Wam zycze najpiekniejszego weekendu!

I'm fascinated by his tail feathers. How beautiful! Am I correct that his name is pronounced like "liar" in English since he copies everyone's song? lol

Hello dear friend! Wow! What an amazing, wonderful, beautiful bird! I would love to have one of my own! I wonder if he could mimic our voice? Why not? I've never seen one or heard one before. The sound of the chain saw was incredible.
Thanks for sharing with us!
Big hugs,

What an amazing bird and such stunning tail feathers. Is it any relation to a peacock? Sort of a distant cousin to the peacock? Thank you for the lovely comments and stopping by my blog. I am out visiting in spare moments here and there. Have missed doing so this past couple of weeks. Have a lovely week.
