Shakespeare frame

Hello!

From an old edition of Shakespeare published in 1880 in Amsterdam, I made a frame for the two photos of my husbands parents. They laid forgotten in an album until my daughter asked me to frame them. The book could only be used for decoration since it is not written in a language I understand. Neither Polish nor English and lays there quite uselessly. I bought two of them at a yard sale!
I have some works by Shakespeare that are old but I can understand, so my heart didnt quite hurt so much taking this one. I will also use the pages themselves.

Then I made a dream catcher, but rather in a vintage style because that is what my girl asked me for. I have started another, and it will be a naval theme for my younger girl.

Theres cool winds and thunderstorm in Toronto today and I am thrilled after all that heat! But for those who like sunshine and heat, I wish you all a sunny day!
Witajcie !
Ze starej ksiazki Shakespeare wydanej w 1880 w Amsterdamie zrobilam ramke do dwoch zdjec rodzicow meza.Lezaly w albumie zapomniane az wkoncu corcia poprosila mnie, zebym je oprawiala.
Drugi  zaczelam robic  i bedzie on w stylu morskim navy dla mlodszej mojej corusi.

Photos like that should always be framed. Please make sure you write with an acid safe pen on the back of the photos to identify who they are because I guarantee you that many years from now if someone ends up with the photos and doesn't know who they are they will throw them out. So sad.
I see you got your marquee up and running. Good job.
Your dream catchers are so pretty. I work with several First Nations people who make dream catchers. Theirs are very rustic. Yours are so delicate and feminine. Nice.

Hello Katherine:
As lways we are so amazed at your creativity which is so much in evidence here. What a really attractive, and most original, use of an old book which, as you suggest, might well have just gone on gathering dust.

Old family photographs do have a very special appeal and it is, we think, rather nice to have them on display.

Katherine these are wonderful projects! I love what you did with the book, using it to frame the old photos. It really is so rich with the colors you used and the jewels. I think your vintage dream catcher is wonderful too.

Using the book to make a frame is a wonderful idea! You really made a special way to display these beautiful photos! How creative! The dream catcher is beautiful, too! I haven't seen one of those in years! I've forgotten about them! I need to get busy and do something creative! Hugs! ♥

Pozdrawiam zdolne kobietki!
