Sweet,sweet Lavender

Hello dear ones!

As every year on the market I bought a whole basketful of lavender. :) I love the colour, smell and taste of these flowers. It took me a night to separate these from their stems and dry them up, then make some into delicious lavender jelly from a victorian recipe!
It is so delicious but incredibly sweet, so I use it with cookies that are not too sweet or with tea!
I also made lavender infused sugar which Ill use for making cookies and cakes and it looks great on a kitchen shelf. :) If anyone wants the jelly recipe Im providing it.

Weather the world over is going haywire. Storms, floods and hurricanes and other incredible occurrences. So watch out for each other dearies! :) I wish you all happy and safe days and thank you for dropping in! :*

Lavender Jelly:

3 1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of dried lavender
juice of 1 lemon
4 cups of sugar
1 box of pectin

Boil the water when done, take it off he heat and stir in the lavender. Wait for 20 minutes and strain through. Bring the tea back on the gas and stir in the lemon juice and pectin, bringing to a boil, add each cup of sugar and make sure its all dissolved. Then let it boil on high heat rolling for about 5 minutes. Transfer into glass jars and seal! :)

Witam Was!

Zrobilam jeszcze cukier lavendowy ktorego uzywam do wypiekow ciast, ponadto pieknie zdobi kuchenne szafki .Jak by jakas duszyczka zechciala przepis na taka galaretke to podaje go:)

Sloiczki zzakrecone z galaretka wsadzic do garnka  z siatka i gotowac 5minut.Smacznego :)

Żyjesz niespiesznie i dostrzegasz nawet najmniejsze piękno lubię do Ciebie zaglądać i podziwiać.

Did you think of me? I love lavender but don't have any right now! I need to find a source for some to make some pretty sachets! Are those bath salts that you've made? Everything is so pretty! Hugs!

Oh I am so jealous! I would love to get a hold of fresh lavender, we can't grow it here in the south US because it is so humid and wet....I can smell it from here!

Pozdrawiam

Oh, how I love lavendar, but I never thought of making jelly out of it, nor did I even think of eating it. Love the smell, it is so soothing. Glad you are doing much better. Stay cool. It is terribly hot where I live here in the West US. Have a great day. Hugs, Karie

Now you've got me curious... I have never had lavender. I must try to find some and make some of that sugar!!! It looks lovely (now we just need "smello-net" for the full effect, no?) ;)

I visit your blog very often but like many am always in a hurry and don't leave comment. You always have the time to leave one for me and I soooo appreciate it. Your blog is so visually beautiful, I often pause at each photo to take it in. I love lavender too. I lost a huge plant of it outside in this last year. I am going to replant several. I've always wanted to make lavender sugar.

U mnie lawenda już chyba przekwitła a ja nie zdążyłam jej zebrać i ususzyć. Będę musiała zakupić, choćby po to, żeby wsypać do woreczków i powiesić w szafkach i garderobie. Pozdrawiam.
